Roma Women transforming the educational systems around Europe through their social and political mobilizations (RTransform) explores how Roma women are transforming educational systems through social and political mobilisation.

It is a three year project in partnership with 5 countries : UK, Spain, Hungary, Greece and Bulgaria.

Each partner will aim to deliver :

20 educational workshops

1 Roma women gathering/year - which will address education, raising aspirations and empowerment .

1 training /year for each organisation to exchange/learn good practice from each partner

Meet our National Coordination Committee

Lucia Mohamad 

Lucia is a Romani women from Slovakia living in Sheffield.

Lucia has experience of working with the Roma community and supporting the Roma community for over 10 years. Lucia has supported hundreds of Roma families and relatives to arrive in the UK, access education, employment and guided them through their journey. 

We are very fortunate to have Lucia as part of the RTransform project.

Mariana Dinca 
Mariana is a Romani woman from Bucharest living in Luton. She has experience of working with the Roma community in Romania for around 15 years, with a focus on educational projects and social interventions. She believes that Romani youth have the possibility to improve the image of Roma community in UK.Mariana has a focus on assisting the Roma community in making their applications to the EU Settlement Scheme to obtain their settle or pre-settled status.
